Kidney failure (renal failure) happens when your kidneys can no longer do their very important jobs. Kidneys function to filter waste, maintain electrolyte balance, regulate blood pressure and urine production. When kidney function stops, waste products accumulate in the body and can cause dangerous health complications. There are two forms of renal failure: Acute Renal
